This is a huge and much welcomed change from Chrome’s current download UI that shows a loading circle around the downloaded file icon on the bottom download bar. Meanwhile, right-clicking on an item opens up a familiar looking context menu that allows users to manage the downloaded files with ease. However, a Reddit user by the username u/Leopeva64-2 was able to spot the new download UI in the latest build of Chrome Canary (Chrome’s Developer oriented fork).Īccording to a screen recording the new UI now displays individual progress bars and cancel button for each item. While Google initially started testing its revamped download manager back in December it was nowhere near complete and was more of a download indicator. This time around a user was able to discover a new download UI in the latest Chrome Canary build that hopes to streamline the overall download experience. Thanks to Google, Beta testing a plethora of new features for Google Chrome the most popular browser on the planet keeps getting better and better with each update.
